The Oral-Systemic Connection
"More than Just an Infection"
Over the past few years there has been an increasing amount of research and published literature showing the connections of chronic oral infection and various systemic medical conditions.
Today it is estimated that 80% of the adult US population has some form of periodontal disease. A good number of these people already see their dentist regularly and brush their teeth. I feel if this was enough to prevent periodontal disease, we would not have these alarming statistics.
It is for this reason I have implemented a new and progressive Periodontal Therapy Program into my office. This program has retained a number of proven traditional concepts in periodontal treatment but has been greatly improved by the addition of today’s most current therapies and state-of-the-art technology.
The program has been designed to provide the most progressive non-surgical approaches to periodontal disease. They include techniques that have taken years of special training and required certification. Not only is Dr. Moreno one of a limited number of dentists certified in Orange County in the use of PerioProtect, a non-surgical management of periodontal infection, but he was also among the first dentists in the state to be trained and certified in soft tissue laser therapy for the treatment of gum disease. The use of these techniques and other therapies are the center of our Periodontal Program and set us apart.
Periodontal Tissue Therapy Program

- Accelerated Home Care: Daily support of oral health with anti-microbial rinses, pastes and state-of-the-art hygiene techniques.
