COVID-19 Response and Prevention at

Center For New Medicine

These are unprecedented times in which we are experiencing quickly changing guidelines and recommendations. Together we are confronting the COVID-19 pandemic and it is more important than ever to take care of one another and be diligent and wise in our daily activities.  It is always the Center For New Medicine’s mission to provide a healthy and safe office where patients and staff are comfortable and secure. However, we realize that in times of heightened concern and risk-levels, additional measures must be taken to ensure a welcoming and sanitized environment. A critically important part of that means adhering, unequivocally, to the behavioral and infection prevention guidelines that have been strongly recommended by the nation’s health care experts.

The Center For New Medicine team takes our role as your trusted health care partner seriously. It is certain that our nation — Orange County included — will experience more cases of infection in the days and weeks ahead. We have an exceptional health care team, protocols and strategies to help our clients stay healthy during this time.

We want to make sure our patients, staff, and their families and caregivers remain informed of the measures the Center has taken to ensure all of our continued health and safety. As guidelines, recommendations and requirements change, we will continue to keep this page updated, so please check back often to see the latest information.

1. WE ARE OPEN

The Center For New Medicine is an essential service. Rest assured that we are still open and serving our patients as always in this exceptional time of need. Barring government order of closing health care facilities, we will continue to remain open.

2. SCREENING FOR ALL PATIENTS AND VISITORS

Effective March 17, we are screening all patients and visitors at entrances to Center For New Medicine patient care areas.  Anyone seeking to enter will be checked for fever and asked basic questions about symptoms and recent activity.

3. TELE-HEALTH FOR PHONE CONSULTATIONS

While we are committed to providing a safe environment for our patients to interact with, we realize that some might not be comfortable coming to the office at this time. Additionally, if you experience any of the symptoms above, we want to continue to partner with you in your journey in to become cancer free. In either case, we offer Tele-Health consultations to accommodate your needs. Please call (949) 680-1880 to book your Tele-Health consultation.

4. KEEPING OUR OFFICE SAFE

We want to make sure you have been informed that we have taken all the necessary recommended measures to assure that our facility and staff are safe.

In addition to the pre-existing measures, the Center For New Medicine is committing to:

  • Providing additional hand sanitizers throughout the office

  • Increasing frequency of disinfection in public places

  • We require that all employees thoroughly wash their hands before & after each appointment

  • We are in contact with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to receive real-time information that ensures all actions we’re taking are approved and based on their recommendations

  • We are stepping up professional deep-cleaning of each location during closed business hours

  • Several times a day, Center For New Medicine staff will wipe down all public surface areas

  • All team members who are sick are required to stay home

5. STAY IN TOUCH

For any and all concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out at (949) 680-1880.

Sincerely, Leigh Erin Connealy, MD and the entire Center For New Medicine Staff
