Raised in Sweden, Dr. Bita Badakhshan moved to Southern California in 1996. Upon arrival in the U.S. she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California Irvine. Subsequently she attended Graduate Medical School at St. George’s, and finished her Family Medicine Residency Program at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System.

Brandi Morinoue, PA-C

Brandi Morinoue, PA-C, graduated from the University of California San Diego in 1996 with her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She attended Saddleback College and Mt. San Antonio College for post-baccalaureate studies in the sciences, followed by Emory University School of Medicine, where she received her Master’s Degree in the Physician’s Assistant Program.

Mary Ellen Shannon, M.D.

Mary Ellen Shannon, M.D. initially graduated from Northern Illinois University and received a degree in nursing and a minor in chemistry. She worked as a registered nurse while continuing her education at the University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School. She completed a residency at the Phoenix Integrative OB/GYN residency program in 1991.

Prior to creating the SBHBOT, Dr. Jolly-Gabriel was the founder of the hyperbaric oxygen therapy program at Whitaker Wellness and Director of Hyperbaric Medicine for 10 years.

Daniel Roney, DC

Dr Roney received his undergraduate degree with concentrations in Biology and Sports Medicine. While in school, he worked as an Athletic Trainer, and later at some of the top rehab hospitals in the country. The experience working in the hospital opened his eyes to how sick of a nation we really are. Dr Roney saw so many people being treated for conditions that were preventable. He made a decision, from that experience, to get into health care on the preventative side. It was then he decided to pursue a degree in Chiropractic. Although it was a very good introduction to the alternative health care way of thinking, he knew there was more to the story.

Devanshu Thakore, MD

Dr Devanshu Thakore has been practicing medicine as a hospitalist for over 15 years. He graduated from AUC in 2000, and completed his residency at Michigan State University affiliate in Saginaw, MI.  Working as a hospitalist Dr Thakore has gained an extensive knowledge of all aspects of internal medicine treating patients at ambulatory care setting at the urgent care to treating critically ill patients in the Intensive Care.  His vast experience encompasses working at small community hospitals to large academic institutions. Currently, Dr Thakore leads the Hospitalist program as the Medical Director over the last three years at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital.  He has also been elected to be the Chief of Medicine over the last two years.
